Fix it!

Every third week of August, over 300,000 pupils in England receive their A Level Results. In 1986 I was one of them.

Scroll back to 1977 when I was 8 my mum received the primary school results and I watched her change an ‘F’ for behaviour to a beautifully calligraphic ‘C’. (πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ)

She fixed it.
Was that wrong?
Of course, but her view was – β€œDenise you are not a letter on a report, I believe in what you can do.”

So my expectancy was to obtain my A level predicted grades and then decide which of the best universities to attend after conditionally being accepted for Dentistry.

Yes! I wanted to fix peoples teeth and gums and had worked in a dental surgery since I was 15.
There was nothing else to life –Was there?

But it was not to be. The expected grades of 2A’s and a ‘B’ did not materialise What should I do?

Where was my mum now to fix it for me?

I was bewildered for weeks and in a very dark space, but not for long.

Since then and looking back, every career choice I made was to fix something.
…but with honesty 😁….

Computer programming, project management, software release roles and more

In 2010 I switched from working on ‘things’ to working with ‘people’

I then flowed into a solution focused approach to my coaching.

My clients tell me I bring clarity, direction and deep thinking about options.

Fixing doesn’t mean I do it for them!

What good would that be?

Useless! Pointless

and that is NOT coaching!!

BUT

I can provide the breadcrumbs and the tools and methodologies.

I can provide a listening ear to support you get from A to B then C.

So that YOU ..FIX IT.. for YOU!!!
